Maxwell Concert

I've been away for about a month now....sorry for the lack of posts!

There's been a lot going on lately, but one of the greatest events in the past month has got to be the Maxwell concert. It was amazing and I had so much fun!

A day at the park

We went to Devin's day care buddy's birthday party at Germantown Park on June 13th. I asked him to hand the gift over to his buddy, Ryan, but he got tired and dragged it instead!

You can see him with his little girlfriend, Claire...aawwww! But he is def not allowed to date until he gets wwwaaaaayyyy older! Haha....that picture with Kai and me was taken towards the end when we both desperately needed a nap.

I think this is what made me tired before I partied that night - even if I didn't do much! My thighs were so sore, so i don't even know how I danced that night LOL....

Great Times....

Can't believe how sleep deprived I was on my birthday! I remember waking up wishing I could stay in bed for a couple more hours, but I'm glad I got my ass up LOL!

I began my day opening my 10th present from Mr. Awesome. They were pretty sandals I've been looking for since I wore the others out last year. I saw quite a bit of birthday greetings that put a smile on my face. Then, I went to lunch with Chanel @ Guapo's and ate more than I should have. We went to Rita's (of course!) for desert and I just hung out with her & Jaiden.

I then headed home just to eat more food! My mom made pancit, sweet & sour fish, and turon...mmmmmm! Trying to get my nephews together for a picture is no easy feat as can be seen ha-ha....

Lunch with the Family

Sundays are reserved for Family Time.

And, rightfully so, I decided to have lunch at a restaurant my mom has never been to, Red Lobster. Everyone was there including Evan's awesome parents - with the exception of Delano, Ching, my bro, and other two adorable nephews.

I LOVE THE BISCUIT!! I decided to get Peach Bourbon Shrimp and Scallops and it was delicious! With the exception of the scallops which was covered in bacon - I gave that to Evan LOL!

I've been trying to cut down on pork and Evan's mom, Ms. Melba, gave me the best reason to give to people. It's because of the swine flu (ha-ha). I have other reasons, however, but I will keep that to myself.

I took off for my birthday and day before so I could relax a little & get some personal things done.

My presents include a couple beautiful dresses, hot shoes & sandals, blouse, 3 purses, etc.. All thanks to my family and Mr. Awesome!!

Thanks everyone for making my birthday so memorable.

Let's Party!!!

What a fun weekend!!

Friday night, I went to dinner and a movie with Mr. Awesome around Penn Quarter. We dined at the Hard Rock restaurant on 10th & E St. and food was average. MY veggie burger would've been better if I didn't have a few sensitive areas around my mouth (I had gone to the dentist earlier in the day). We then headed over to Landmark Theatre on 11th & E St. We were so excited about going to see Away We Go which stars John Krasinski (The Office) and comedian Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live). This place was unusual - unlike any other movie theatre. They had espressos, tea, organic cookies, and it was very tidy. We will definitely go back again! WE LOVED THE MOVIE - great mix of comedy and real life situations.

I spent Saturday afternoon with my nephews and sis-in-law at Germantown Park. It was fun as always with Devin and his day care playmates. I'll post those pics up later.

Saturday evening was a different story. Seth and Rob from LTD Ent. or Living the Dream Entertainment hosted my party at Station 9 Restaurant and Lounge.

I was all dolled up (see first pic) and ready to party!!! There were a few minor setbacks: some people thought that it'd be ok to come up there with tennis shoes on, others came way later (see sometimes it isn't bad to be punctual!), and then I couldn't party with my friends in the VIP room!! All because of a certain NFL player from the Baltimore Ravens. But I had fun downstairs with everyone anyway!!!

Thank you baby for my hot shoes and to all who came out and partied with me!!! Thanks Seth and Rob for everything!!

Weekend Fam-tivities....

It's been study session after study session the past month or so.

I had lunch with some of the family members - Ching, Devin, Kai, my bro, Evan, & parental units - while others were at home and San Diego.

We had some Chop Suey and rice or as Evan calls it "Cooked Salad" LOL! Basically, it's mixed vegetables with chicken or beef.

We also had some Challa bread, pineapple muffins, and watermelon. I played with the self timer on my camera for the first time ever and the finished product isn't so bad. Well, I'm not too positive about the last one with my hair covering Kai's cute head ha-ha....

Cookout @ Chanel's

I love the Summertime for the weather (when it isn't so hot & sticky), Rita's almost every weekend, My BIRTHDAY, and COOKOUTS!!!

I know it seems like I have a different reason to love Summer or Spring, but I love both seasons for different reasons. What I dislike is when my allergies flare up. I was going to try Allergy Buster, but I honestly hate taking medicines. Unless I'm in dire need of it, I refuse to take it.

I love the scent of grilled food: chicken, kabobs, corn, salmon, etc. This past weekend, we went to Chanel's for a cookout which was originally a 'Ladies Only' event, but to satisfy the 'Single Ladies' the guys came too. It was a lot of fun catching up with everyone like Anthony, Nat, Karley, Tim, Fred (who's currently in college at Buffalo and who's lovingly dubbed as "little big brother" ha-ha), Antione, Faith, Kim (who is always late for everything!), Grace, Craig, etc.

Sharon, Angie, Evan, Karley, and I played Uno and Scrabble...too much fun! I love that pic above where Jaiden's looking at the camera with his startled expression and Evan in the background HA-HA.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend!

Until the next cookout ....
