Like I am today

Though a common struggle daily
Is am I American or Filipina?

Today I am so honored
To celebrate the American side of me

However every single day
I am a beautiful Filipina in every single way

Colorful background is something we have in common
Mr. Obama, you are quite the inspiration
Your presence is so bold
How unrivaled is your determination?

We await the reform of this country
Under your leadership

Please ensure our decision to give you authority
Is not something we will have to doubt
