THE BIG BAD WOLF by James Patterson was so wonderfully written. It takes you on a journey of a Washington, D.C. cop turned FBI agent Alex Cross. Simultaneously, I'm reading the Women's Murder Club series which is about Lindsay Boxer, the first woman lieutenant of the San Francisco Police Department (California).
I'm drawn to mystery/suspense as well as history & law. I began to read WAR LAW by Michael Byers but didn't go farther than the second page because I can't seem to relieve myself from the series noted. I also love poetry so of course I'm naturally enticed by prolific poets such as Nikki Giovanni, Maya Angelou, and many others.
Studies show that a person who reads at least 2 books a month broadens & enhances their vocabulary and imagination. I think it can also be therapeutic because you begin to sympathize or somehow relate to the character and eventually it'll take your mind off some stress in your life. Often times, I find this to be true so, pick up a book and learn something new....
